2010 Holiday Buyer’s Guide- Introduction

Readers of my last blog may remember my annual Holiday Buyer’s Guide, an organized collection of reviews for some of my favorite albums released in the past year. This year is no different, as I am proud to present Sound Writer’s 2010 Holiday Buyer’s Guide. This guide is divided into 12 sections, with short reviews for 10 albums in each. The sections are sorted by genre and audience. For example, traditional heavy metal and metalcore are grouped together in a category called “Accessible Metal,” while post-rock, ambient, and shoegaze albums can be found in the section labeled as such. So whether you’re a fan of metal, indie rock, hip-hop, or something else entirely, there’s  a category that should fit your needs. Starting Monday (December 13) I’ll be posting two sections per day for the next six days, so stay tuned.
